Lost some memory!!!

dont know if i'm right bout this but earlier today i did a disc cleanup and instead of just cleaning my file i chose all files and then MORE OPTIONS,then system restore and shadow copies which then deleted unwanted files,leaving my last restore point.i looked at start/computer and 25-30 GB reappeared in disc space,just thought someone might like to know if they've lost or wondered where memory has gone.please someone tell me if i've made a mistake
