Vista Sidebar

After I installed IE 8 the sidebar gadgets no longer work properly. Eg. the black clock. Any remedies?

You can't actually widen the side bar but what you can do if you want (though I personally like to take up as little space as possible on the desktop) is to loosen your gadgets from the side bar. For instance, I use the notes and when positioned on the sidebar they are small, but if you move to the left of the bar it expands so you can see more lines. Hope this helps.
