Sync Toy 2.0 and log onto my network drive
Hi. I have been using Microsoft SyncToy 2.0 for over a year now on my Vista Ultimate system and a WD MyBook World Edition drive, which is a network drive. The system has worked very successfully for all this time. I just decided to create a user account on the MyBook in addition to the default admin account. With my new user account I can limit access to the drive over the network by requiring a logon(username/password). Since setting it up this way my Sync with SyncToy runs at the scheduled time and Task Schdeduer says"successful" but I can see that files in the "folder pair" that should have been updated were not. So is there a way to inform SyncToy(or Task Scheduler) that a username and password is now required to access the drive and perform the Sync? Can either program store the username/password? I imagine it would have to. Thanks in advance.
