Can't restore backed up files

I did a backup using vista's Backup and Restore Center to an external USB hard drive...Then I installed 2 drives in Raid and now i can't restore.
The yellow yeild sign massage says "Windows was not able to find any backup sets on F:\. Please select a different location"
I can see the zip files on the external USB F drive so I know they are there.
Any guidence or advice you can spare is appreciated.
