Sleep under Vista has stopped working, how to restart it?

You talking about sleep or hibernate? Does it not work when you choose sleep from the start menu bar options?

I'm talking about SLEEP, it used to work and I expect some tool has altered that part of the registry that allows Sleep. Now shuts done to sleep mode then immeadiatly starts up again, and no its not USB device as I've dissconneted the USB hub.

So it does go to sleep and then without you touching anything it will just come right back up to the desktop? So it is like it wants to, but then it starts right back up. How long do you have it set till it does go to sleep? It's not hibernating is it? Check your power management settings in the control panel.
