Problem in System Volume Info folder
I have a (corrupt?) folder named '_restore...' in my System Volume Information folder, along with some restore folders that look okay.
This corrupt folder contains um**** subfolders named RP3, RP4, RP5.... In total, this folder occupies about 3GB ...which I'm trying to recover.
I have tried a direct 'delete', but--I guess because it's a protected System folder--that didn't work.
I even tried the vssadmin line command to reduce the disk space allocation for System Restore to 1GB (hoping the corrupt folder would be automatically deleted), but that didn't work either.
I have turned off System Restore, then turned it on again ...but the damned corrupt folder is still there!
So, learned VistaHeads, is there some way to delete this corrupt folder (short of Vista re-installation)?
I have full administrator status.
Thanks.
