Start up repair not working and I'm in trouble.
So, I am looking for a new antivirus. I had nod32, I decided to go with Gamesafe from bit defender. I download the antivirus, install it and try to restart. When I attempted to restart my computer I get.
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert the Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next"
3. Click "Repair your computer"
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: OxcOOOOOOf
Info: The selected entry could no be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
Just put in the installation disc and follow the directions and all is well, right? Wrong. I put in the disc reboot choose my language but instead of giving me an option to repair my computer once I click "next" it proceeds to go through the installation process. I get no "Repair your computer" WHY? Please help, I'm in a bad place if I can't fix this quickly. By the way its windows Home premium 64 bit on a laptop computer. Thanks for any help in advance.
