I've seen a lot of people complaining about Nvidia driver on vista so i know i'm not alone on this one but its people complaining of black screens mostly.
here is my problem...
I've got a dual screen dual boot (xp/vista 64 "ultimate") setup. Both screen run from a Geforce7950 GT running the latest drivers as of today 178.24 and are hooked up with DVI cables.
Sometimes when i boot this happens and sometimes when changing the display resolution however it does not effect both screens at the same time. Usually one is garbled as shown and the other remains fine. It's not always the primary, sometimes its the secondary.
Even testing with a single display the same thing happens, my default resolution is 1680x1050. When booting into 640x480 everything appears normal until i attempt to adjust the resolution... then that happens..and after 15 seconds when it tries to return the displays to their previous resolution it's still garbled!
Luckily as it's dual boot I dont have to put up with it. but it's forcing me to use xp for everything. ARGH!
Should probably mention that i've had this problem from day one of vista install and all the subsequent drivers have failed to fix the problem, it's only recently got on my ****!
