Unable to type in message section of e-mails

Hi, When I'm accessing my work e-mail from home I cannot access the message section of new e-mails (it is a grey box with a little red cross in the top left hand corner - I use Vista Ultimate 64bit) however I can access the message section using my husband's computer (which uses XP). I have experienced this before at university and there is a simple fix however I just can't remember it. Any suggestions? Kaz

I'm assuming you're talking about Outlook Web Access, there is a issue with OWA & Vista, I know in the past I've resolved this on the server directly by installing a patch MS provides to fix this.

If I remember correctly, I think it has something to so with a lawsuit regarding ActiveX controls that MS lost.

This is the KB article: You receive an error message when you try to perform any editing tasks, or you must click to enable the compose frame in Outlook Web Access

You may want to check with your System Administrator and let them know about the issue, the patch is a simple install and fixes the problem right away.
