Software won't load from cd
I am running Vista Home Premium and when I put an installation disk in the cd drawer the program won't run. DVDs and audio CDs and games work just fine (if it's already installed). The default is set to auto run for software but when I close the cd drawer, nothing happens. There have been several Vista updates and other software intalleds from the harddrive since I last tried to install a program from CD, which was about 3 months ago and it worked fine then. But yesterday I tried to install the software/drivers for a new PCI wireless adapter and a webcam and neither CD would run.
Also, this computer just made a 2000 mile move across the country but was treated with special care and rode in the front of the moving truck with me the whole way so I don't think the problem is move-related.
Edited to add: I have an Acer Aspire M1100 computer that is less than a year old.
