Vista Networking

Have two PC's running Vista Ultimate and one NOtebook running Windows XP.

If all three machines on - I have full Networking between all machines.

If the XP Machine isnt switched on - neither of the Vista PC's can talk to each other, see each other or ping each other.

Anyone have any ideas.
