Typing in a filename causes program lockup
Our company produces an application which is written with Visual Studio.net. On XP and earlier versions it has been running great for years.
On Vista, there is sometimes a problem when the user tries to type in a Windows filename to save data. On some Vista installations, after about 2 or 3 characters are typed, the file name input window locks up and will not echo characters. The app is frozen and has to be killed by the task manager.
Has anyone seen this happen? It has only happened to two or three of our Vista users. We have many Vista users who have no problems, and it has never been seen on non-Vista machines.
Is there some Vista setting that might affect how filename characters get echoed?
Thank you.
