Expand/Cascade All Programs
Now, I'm actually a fan of all the new alterations to the Start menu (except for the fact that it doesn't say "start" any more, so... Windows' Logo Menu, I suppose?). However, I have one major pet peeve.
I want the All Programs list to expand out instead of opening inside of the Start menu. That's it. You think that would be simple enough, but I have yet to find some one or something that can alter that. I'll say this once:
I DON'T WANT A THIRD PARTY APPLICATION THAT SUBSTITUTES/EMULATES A START MENU.
That being said, I know you can set folders on the side of the Start menu, like the My Documents folder, to open as a menu and expand outward, but so far I can't get the All Programs directory to follow suit. Any advice would be great.

Side note: In the registry under Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\StartMenu I found a subfolder \StartMenu which contained folders with names like "CascadeMyDocuments" and "CascadeMyPictures". When I editted the properties of the Start menu to display My Documents as a menu, these values in the registry changed. So, is there a key, folder, DWORD, or something I can add in this general area to make All Programs expand/cascade?

Re: Expand/Cascade All Programs
Does this mean that there is no third party solution? How sad... I hope someone can come up with a solution or workaround.

Re: Expand/Cascade All Programs
This is one of those classic usability issues that we're all trying to emulate a previous OS/program. I recently watched someone using Vista and they never even pressed on the Programs button. They simply press the Start menu (you made a good point with the new name!), and typed in the name of the app. E.g. They just typed Word, and pressed Enter. Previous OS's didn't allow you to do anything like that.
