Expand/Cascade All Programs
Now, I'm actually a fan of all the new alterations to the Start menu (except for the fact that it doesn't say "start" any more, so... Windows' Logo Menu, I suppose?). However, I have one major pet peeve.
I want the All Programs list to expand out instead of opening inside of the Start menu. That's it. You think that would be simple enough, but I have yet to find some one or something that can alter that. I'll say this once:
I DON'T WANT A THIRD PARTY APPLICATION THAT SUBSTITUTES/EMULATES A START MENU.
That being said, I know you can set folders on the side of the Start menu, like the My Documents folder, to open as a menu and expand outward, but so far I can't get the All Programs directory to follow suit. Any advice would be great.
Side note: In the registry under Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Explorer\StartMenu I found a subfolder \StartMenu which contained folders with names like "CascadeMyDocuments" and "CascadeMyPictures". When I editted the properties of the Start menu to display My Documents as a menu, these values in the registry changed. So, is there a key, folder, DWORD, or something I can add in this general area to make All Programs expand/cascade?
