Can't access network on peer to peer connection using vista
I have 2 computers set up both with vista home premium and there are times when one of my computers (computer 2) cannot access the other (computer 1), however computer 1 can still access computer 2. I always have to reboot computer 1 NOT computer 2 and I can get access again.

Computer 2 is on a wireless N Card, and computer 1 is plugged directly into the router. Is there some service that is going offline that I can simply restart instead of rebooting the computer every time I have an access problem?

Thanks!

Hi Eric,

can you run a command prompt on each PC and type in "ipconfig" ( without the "") press enter. We need to see this info to get a bit more info.

regards

Steve

Hi Eric,

please see File and Printer Sharing in Windows Vista and make sure both PC's are setup accordingly.

I have a feeling one of the PC's has a different setting to the other.

regards

Steve
