How to captue an error message

Hi...have been fighting spyware on my vista PC. Just installed a spyware program to clean (PCDOCTOR) from PCTOOLS and it seems to be fixed. However, I am having trouble printing from Adobe. When I try to print, an error window pops up for a fraction of a second then goes away and another window pops us and says "Unable to print".

Now, how do I freeze the video so that I can capture the first error message tha pops up. I need to know where to start troubleshooting this , but cannot do so effecitvely without reading this popup error that is gone before I can read it.

IS THERE A KEY SEQUENCE to freeze the scroll/display funtion to capture the message?

Hi Lisa,

There are 2 main ways that you can do this. The first is to press the 'PrtScn/SysRq' key when the message appears. This copies whatever is on the screen to the clipboard. You can then open 'Paint', click on 'Edit' and select 'Paste' to reveal the screen. This can then be saved so that you can refer to it later. The other method is to use a camcorder (or, alternatively, a digital camera since most are also capable of recording sequences) and point it at your screen. Allow it to capture what is on your screen when the errors pop up. You can then review the recording afterwards.
