please give the details of the blue screen.
also, there MAY be something you could do with linux to fix your files if it's a driver issue. you can remove or rename the offending file. but be careful it's not a system file! I have not tested linux ntfs-3g file modifications with vista/7/8. by using it you may have to do a repair using the vista DVD.
