can't log into new Vista PC
I have received a new PC with Vista Ultimate from a custom builder who is closed for the weekend. I cannot log into it due to an unfortunate coincidence.
When I started up the PC for the first time, I connected a monitor which I subsequently discovered had a malfunctining DVI interface. Since there was no image on the monitor, I manually restarted the PC a few times to try to get it to work.
I have now connected a monitor that works. However, Vista boots to a screen that has a square in the center labelled "other user." When I click on this, I am prompted for a username and password. I do not know the username and password.
The Vista brochure makes reference to following the instructions when the PC is first started, presumably, to set up an account, and this process was interrupted due to my monitor debugging effort.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks
Keith
