Shortcut changes
Hello there its been a while since I've had a problem I haven't been able to resolve but this one seems to have me stumped & I am sure someone out there can help me so here goes.... I have 3 drives on my home pc its running home premium 32 bit, I have moved several files from my 'C' Drive......... Music ,Documents , Pictures etc & I want to enable shortcuts from the start menu to open these files ,simple you would think however although these files exist on my 'E' drive there also apears to be a 'shadow copy' of these left on my 'C' drive , the shortcuts on the RH side of the startmenu go directly to 'C' so I deselected these from the start menu, properties, customise & then created fresh shortcuts directly from my 'E' drive & placed them in the start menu LH side (logical) I thought , however when I select Music,Documents these shortcuts have now reverted to the original location on the 'C' drive . Could this be someting to do with multiple user account? obviously I'm logged on as administrator so I can not understand this having an effect , So firstly I'm wondering why there is a 'copy?' left on my 'C' drive at all and secondly how can I get these shortcuts to find the correct location. Any Ideas???

Hi Dwarf , I checked that post it was not really what I was looking for , I had already done all that what I wanted to know was if there was any way to move the shell folders on to my 'E' drive without there being any trace left on the 'C' drive and then to get the shortcuts to work from my start menu and not to open the 'C' drive location , but I geuss not , It just seems I have so much stuff on the 'C' drive & I really only want program files on there as I have only got a 80Gb 'C' drive 320Gb 'E' drive & 320Gb External 'I' drive I feel it may be slowing down the drive and even after moving music, video, recorded tv ,documents, films etc it still shows 48.7 Gb as being used surely that can't all be program /os files? Anyway if you have any advise I would apreciate your sugestions Thanks stedy67
