Vista HDMI Issues
Hi,
Im not sure if this is the best place to post my query, but hopefully someone can help
Ive just bought an XPS 1530 with Vista installed, and it seems i cant get any audio via my HDMI port when going to my Yamaha amp. The picture is displaying fine. Also the HDMI audio bar is showing as outputting audio, so it looks like the amp just doesnt like the audio output.
My friend has the very same machine with XP installed rather then Vista and both audio and display are fine via via amplifier.
After doing some research it looks like Vista is outputting 1.3 HDMI audio, and my amplifier (which isnt terribly old), only likes to recieve 1.2.
My question is there any way to tell Vista to output in 1.2, or is there any software/programs that will output the HDMI audio in 1.2 by default?? As my amp cost me €1200 and i would be hoping to not have to upgrade again.
Any advice whatsoever is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance Guys,
Dave
