hope vista heads works...with vista need all the help one can get.....running vista ultimate...and have problem with windows update....icon appeared in system tray a few days ago...stating...."windows can't check for updates".....any solutions anyone.....when i try to install update...windows search 4.0 for windows vista(kb940157) get failed code..80070490......so fear will not be able to do updates to defender and the monthly black tuesdays.....tried system restore and no help.......anyone with a suggestion other than re-installing vista......thank you"
I'm a Windows Vista Ultimate user who has the exact same problem as this user I quoted above. There is no information or helpful hints on this problem found anywhere. I've been living with this annoyance for close to a year. Dell Support has not been helpful! Microsoft Support has not been helpful. Is there anyone out there who can be helpful with this problem?
