Outlook kills Windows mail?

I have installed Outlook 2003 in Vista Home to use with a different email account than the one set up in WinMail. Since getting Outlook to work
WinMail has completley dissapeared. Icon used to be there, but no more.
It is not in programmes! Any ideas as to what has happened?

have a look at How to Change the default email program in vista -- Windows Reference and see if it makes it reappear,
