Delboy, try this fix:
Winsock Fix For Vista
To repair and reset the Windows Vista

Click on Start button.
Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request.
Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
Restart the computer and restart the updates. Be patient it may take awhile or give you another error code. You may have to reboot a 2nd time.

KB943899 and KB943302 failing with 800B0100
I'm having the same problem with KB943899 and KB943302 failing with 800B0100. Has anyone resolved this yet? The above solution did not fix it for me.

Any insight is appreciated.
Mike
