it looks like the drivers are on the Vista DVD,

these are the instructions from Epsom.....

for your prompt reply. I had checked the Epson site before posting here. My brand new Acer laptop came with Vista Home Basic pre-installed there is no DVD disk:-(

Hi Ria,

the Vista setup files will be on your PC. When you select the Printer from the list the files should automatically copy over from where they are on the PC.

If you did not get instructions on how to create a Rescue Disk or were not given a Vista Disk then you should ask for one. The sellers have to either give you one or tell you how to make one,

printer is now working fine I have Vista Home Premium - chaps in shop say I do not need a rescue disk - is this correct. I have checked on Laptop but cannot find advice to make one. Regards, from Aotearoa New Zealand.

thats great news

Ask they guys in the shop why you dont need a Rescue Disk.
Ask them what will happen if your Hard Drive becomes faulty, will you have to buy a new copy of Vista.

For a Vista Repair ( an operation Vista uses to fix broken files ) you will need a Vista Disk. Again ask them what if you need to do a Vista Repair.
