i think you might need patience for the possible solution..

Because you have so many errors you should try to do an System Repair.

Please follow the instructions on the following page.... How to automatically repair Windows Vista using Startup Repair

If you need to know about anything in it please get back to me..

How can I have that much problems with a new laptop?
I looked at the site you gave me, but I can not do a repair, because Vista was pre installed and I dont have a disk. Do you know another solution?

Hi chevre,

you will need to contact the place where you bought the laptop and ask them for an installation DVD. Some places make you download one from the internet and then burn it yourself.

If this is a new new laptop you should bring it back and complain. There should not be so many errors on a new laptop as you said.

Did you buy it in a local shop or from online?

Hello Steve,

I bought my laptop in a shop. This is my third in a few weeks. Before this one, I had two new Packard Bells with exact the same problem. Of course I can go back tot the shop, but is it an idea to delete all the programms I installed from the internet like Ares, Divx etc? Maybe one of that programms are the reason of the errors?

Hi chevre,

it is hard to know what is causing the errors.

Do you have any anti virus on the PC ? Try an online anti virus scanner and see if it finds anything at Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro USA

You should really have a Vista Installation Disk so I would ask at the shop for one. They will have to get you one. Microsoft expects everyone to have access to some sort of installation disk. Even if a virus is removed you will still have to do a repair to get rid of some of those errors.

Let us know how the Scan goes.

Ok, Thanks, I will do the scan.
There was just something that I remember, I have a recovery disk, is that the same? I made it after the install. The install was going automaticly.

I did the scan, it was very quick, hopefully it is normal.
This was the result:
Scanning and Cleaning Complete
HouseCall did not find any potential threats on your computer.

Hi chevre,

yes indeed the recovery disk is the disk we need, excellent..

After the scan try the Repair. Please use this link John Barnett's Windows Vista Support: Repair A Vista Installation Using The Upgrade Option Of The Vista DVD to do the repair as it will save all your current settings and programs. Make sure when you see the Important Information for Updates screen that you select "Do not get the latest updates for installation...

Thanks! The funny thing is that after the scan the problem seems to disappear...... For more than one day it didn't appear and normally it came a lot of times every day. So, I don't know what happened, I hope you found the solution. Thanks you very much!
I save the site for the repair with the recovery disk, just in case off.
I really hope I won't need it.
Anyway, thanks for your help and good advice!
