Networking Vista laptop to Xp PC

Hi,

Im new to this but i was wondering if someone can help me with the following:

I just bought a new vista laptop i would like to be able to access software on my XP desktop through my eircom wirless router.

Can someone give me instructions on how i can do this?

Hi Shaza,

does your Vista Laptop and your XP Desktop both have wireless adapters?

They are both conected to the same router, the laptop is wireless but the PC is connected via cable.

first of all download and install this on the XP PC from Microsoft Download details: Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) Responder (KB922120)

Then follow the instructions in this detailed article Microsoft Vista Home Networking Setup and Options
