its driving me crazy. When I click on anything, instead of doing the correct action the screen minimises. I have tried de-sensitising the touch pad but no to no avail. Its a toshiba u300, brand new. Any suggestions?
Hi Steve, I am not sure how to find which driver for my touch pad I have. I ran RadarSync and it came up with a couple of drivers but nothing about the touchpad.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but sadly no change. The screen keeps minimising whenever I click on anything. Thankfully not every time but maybe every other time. It seems worst in Internet Explorer.
ok now lets try and disable Synaptics ability to interact with the Touchpad. This will tell us if it is the Synaptics software....
Can you right-click on the Synaptics icon in the Taskbar, and choose Pointing Device Properties from the menu. On the Device Settings tab you will see Devices in a list. Click on every Device listed here and then click on the Disable button.
Steve, I hae disabled tap zones in control panel-mouse-device settings. So far this seems to ahve solved the problem. If not I will come back on this thread. Many thanks for your help
