Vista Home Premium w/Outlook 07 won't send email w/attachments
When I open Outlook 2007 (with Vista Home Premium) and click on new email I get the following message: "The Add-in "FaxExtension" (C:\WINDOWS\system32\fxsext32.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook. Please contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update. If no update is available, please uninstall the Add-in.
I cannot find the Add-in. I have not installed any fax software. I have
read many threads on this that all end up in dead ends.
Further, when then trying to send emails with attachments I get the
following error: "Task 'mail.pentel.net - Sending' reported error
(0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
If I delete the email with attachment from the Outbox and then send a new
email without attachment, it sends OK.
As I said, I have seen MANY threads on this that are all dead ends. Does
anyone know what is happening with Vista and Outlook 2007. I think this is a Vista issue because I have an identical laptop with Windows XP and Outlook
2007 that does not have this problem.
