I bought a new laptop that came with Vista and MS Office 2007. It came with a 60 day trial. My wife works at a company that buys a HUGE number of licenses so they had a deal with the employees - pay a small fee for a MS Office Enterprise 2007 - but only 1 per family. So we did that.
I went into Outllook (that says "Outlook[trial]" on the top, and went to the part to enter a key. But when I went to do so it didn't like it.
Sooo, I popped in the DVD to just install the new version. It asked for a key and it liked it and it did the complete install. It even went to the START PROGRAMS area for "Microsoft Office" and added several new entries.
I then downloaded the latest updates, rebooted, and started up Outlook.
And the top says "Outlook[trial]".
Did I do something really wrong? Or do you think that after the 60 days the word "trial" will just disappear?
Or is it time to look at Open Office?
