Login Issues
Hello:
I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue we are having with one of our desk tops. The Admin password expired, we changed it but when we tried to log in it tells us the password is incorrect. When I go to net user Admin it shows the date the password was changed. I tried to reset the pass from another login account that is active on that computer doing net user Admin * and typing in a new password and confirmation but it says access denied error code 5. This happen with another account on that desk top also.
I am affraid that if this issue is not resolved when the other active user on that ldesktop password expires and we change it the same thing will happen which is we change it and then are unable to access it.
I guess my first issue rigt now is to try to get the Admin password issue resolved. How can I reset it I tried doing the reset in safe mode still no luck.
We don't want to have to do a reinstall because we will loose to much information. I think access is denied because I trying to reset Admin password the only account I can log into. I have tried a number of things but nothing works
Can anyone please help me.
