Certificate out of date - can't overide!

I have a remote cctv system which I can view from my other computers, but my new laptop runs Vista Business which has a very annoying feature where I can't overide the security settings to allow an Active X control. The software producers - Geovision - have allowed their certificate to expire. This is no problem on XP as I can overide it manually to allow the out of date certificate, but Vista won't allow this. As they're not likely to fork out another £100 000 plus for a new certificate, my options seem limited to uninstalling Vista and loading on XP. Does anyone have any suggestions?
