Dear All,

I am normally a Mac user, but in the absence of my Mac need to use my wife's Windows machine.

I am trying to change the default Notepad programme and need to replace the old one in the system directory. On my MAc when I alter system files I just need to enter my passoword, however, on Visat even with Administrator priviledges, I am unable to accomplih the task.

Any idea how I can get full control over system files?

I've never tried this before, but i can make a suggestion to you. With what are you trying to replace notepad with, if u don't mind me asking? and try giving yourself administrator rights to that file?! i dunno?! again, jsut a suggestion. Do you get an error message when trying to replace the old notepad?
