Re: windows sidebar freezes my computer
You can do this one of two ways. First is to try to open the sidebar and then click the "+" towards the top of it for add gadgets. In this window you can right click on any gadget and select uninstall. The second way is to go into the hard drive, either under system/windows folder or in program files and find the Sidebar folder and delete the gadgets out of that folder. But I know Vista is very good on holding on to stuff it claims it is using or might be tied to the OS. So you might get a error stating you cannot delete them. Sorry I cannot be more help, I do not use the side bar because of the fact it eats system resources. Plus I have other third-party software that does what most of the gadgets do.
