Vista Frozen - event ID errors 106/101/100
HELP!!! Problem started just last night. I am virtually shut off from using my computer (using my wife's now) as next to nothing works. Almost everything I try freezes; task manager, explorer, restore, Macafee control panel, etc. For some unknown reason I was able to get to the event viewer (first try froze, but second try opened the window) and I got multiple error messages from last to first: 106 (error), 101 (warning), 100 (critical) all related to boot performance maintenance, and 351/302/300 all warnings and related to standby performance maintenance.
Turning on my computer only works rarley and after a long wait. Shutting down the computer puts in into a several hous "Logging Off" screen ... before I do a hard reset.
Any ideas? Thanks.
