General unresponsiveness and slowness

I have been using Vista for 5 months approximately. As time passed by I began to experience serious lagging and unresponsiveness. The programs began to crash very often(especially IE) Boot up takes a very long time and shutting down time has increased too. I have SP1 installed and my rig has Intel C2D E8400 4GB RAM Powercolor HD 4870x2 and 2xWD 500 GB HD in RAID 0(for performance). What is the solution for my problem excluding reinstallation of Vista.

Dear frind, do you have met some probem about ripping some files to any portable device? Yes, maybe you are thinking how to settle the ptoblelm well, here I can recommend you a site , I do hope it can help you ,good luck to you!
