windows mail error message

Please help!!! I recently did a clean install from Vista home premium where I used vista home premium with my gmail email account with no problems to vista business. Now after trying to set up windows mail with the same exact settings as before... I am asked to enter my user name and password over and over again. When I cancel out of that I am given this error message.

I have turned my norton antivirus completely off - but I used it before with no problems???

are you using outlook? If so there might be a problem with your main email server (it might be down).

No I am using windows Mail. My service provider i sokay. i log directly into gmail to get my emails.

You need to use imap.gmail.com, so change pop to imap.

In advance menu make sure your outgoing mail has 465 and the incoming mail has 993
