May have to re-install Vista Business

Hello all!

Since my last post, my corruption issues have returned and I'm now just considering doing a clean re-install.

Unfortunately, all I really have is my OEM disk from CyberPower, for my purpose built machine.

I'll really appreciate some guidence on this adventure: what to back up, what the best way to proceed is, etc.

Main point, I'm using Office 2K7 as well; should I uninstall it first?

Oh, of course, I'm going to back up all my files!!

Hi Jim,

sorry to hear that you still have problems.

Before you do a reinstall lets try 2 things....see John Barnett's Windows Vista Support: Syste File Checker (SFC) to see if it fixes any corrupt files...

If not then try to repair Vista see How to automatically repair Windows Vista using Startup Repair on how to do a repair.

It might save you some time and hassle,
