OK, i have been battling this for quite some time. I am using a Dell Latitude D530 running Windows Vista Business SP 1. The machine has a BroadComm Gb Enet card in it. Some time ago (not sure exactly when) I started having performance problems with the machine and thought is was a problem with Outlook or a plug in. After much troubleshooting I found that I basically cannot transfer a file from my laptop to a network location over the Enet card. I can transfer files from a network location to my laptop but not outbound. The wireless card works fine. I have tried restoring windows to the earliest version possible and have downloaded the latest drivers from Broadcom (10.82.0.0). Now here's the kicker, i had a Linux guy boot to Ubunto from CD and transfer files back and forth using Linux and had no problems, so i think the NIC hardware is ok and pointing to a configuration issue with Vista.......
No online support has been able to help me and i am down to reinstalling Vista from scratcha and trying to rebuild my laptop.
HELP......
