sound stop working suddenly n need to restart to get it again

Dear Friend,
i'm having sony vaio laptop VGN-CR29XN and widows vista as an operating
system.
from the last three four days i've realized that sound system stops working suddenly..then i need to restart the pc then again it come.
like.. once if i ve played any video then when it gets stop then sound also gets stop then need to restart for bringing back the sound.

like if once i mute the sound then unmute it then also restart to get the sound.
like if pc is in sleep mode and resumes after some time sound goes... and again need to restart.
pls help on this context.

Hello Mr. Gokul,
Nice to see your mail..
for this sound problem i conntacted sony via an e-mail.
they just told me to reinstall the sound drivers.
and i did that n it starts working perfectly..
if u need that email in which they gave me the solution then pls let me know i'll forward u he same.
