I have a customer that has installed software that I support (programmed in VB6) to Vista Business.
After getting past the original security issues (DLL's and OCX's getting registered etc) he has been using the software successfully for a few months now.
For some reason he is now getting RTE 91 when trying to launch the software. I walked him through all that I could think of (manually registering DLL's & OCX's / Data Execution Prevention / uninstalling & reinstalling software / selecting to run as Administrator) all the tricks I use to resolve this issue and the problem still exists.
I am thinking that there is a registry and/or permission issue of some sort with the DLL's/OCX's but I have no clue how to proceed or where to look.
Thank you Steve ..... I am hoping I find the answer for this one. I have hundreds of installs out there and the amount being installed to Vista is growning and ..so far.. so good! Vista has a few little bumps in the road as far as my users are concerned with getting the program I support to run, but it is only minor stuff. . . . even this error can be resolved easily...but for some reason this time it is fighting me
