Desktop Wallpaper & Thumbnail Probs.

HI there, i am running windows business 32 bit and recenetly i had a nasty bug on it... i used spybot to remove whatever spyware and bitdefender to delete viruses...

I was told to run ComboFix to ensure all is well, when the program loaded, my computer restarted out off the blue, and when it turned back on my desktop went black, so i tryed to restore my wallpaper with no sucess...

all picture thumbnails are dots now, and i can only set colours as wallpapers... i have googled this and i found a few ideas but non worked for me... i am not sure what has happaned but i'm getting pissed off now as this is a computer i use at work!!

if anyone can help me, please tell me how to fix this or what file or reg i need to get things back up and runing!!

PS: i saw an artical in microsft website, i asked for the hotfix, will be 24hours before i get it but i don't know if this will help!

If the hotfix did not work.
I'm just wondering, did you go to start>computer>c:\\>users>your username>desktop then delete from that folder? See if it is off your desktop when you restart.

thanks for the post but i already upgraded from business to ultimate and that did the trick... must off been a virus that ate a windows file!
