Having PNP Problem
Hi. I'm new to Vistaheads. I'm currently having a severe problem with Plug and Play. My new Vaio was running extremely slow so I ran the optimizing tool in Norton and ended up wiping out my Play and Plug module in Vista with killed most of my drivers. I spent four hours on phone with Sony tec sup and they confirm it's missing through remote control. The OS is Sony OEM build and tec said he couldn't just add that file. System restore did not work either. They want me to send laptop back to do total rebuild. Is there a better way to do this. I don't have was OS disks. Thanks, Gee

Hi gee,

without the OS disks you have a problem

Sony should provide some sort of Rescue Disk or OS Disk so you can Repair Vista... see John Barnett's Windows Vista Support: Repair A Vista Installation Using The Upgrade Option Of The Vista DVD

regards

Steve
