XP installation in DELL Vostro1500

I have Dell Vostro1500 loaded with Vista Buisness. Vista comes with laptop when it was purchased. I want to remove vista and load with Windows XP. My laptop having "Dell Media Direct" feature. How i can enable this feature while installing XP. How to install web cam in XP...

Hi jaga_ps,

you must get an XP CD ( if you have Vista Business I think you can install either XP Home or XP Pro ).

Setup XP as Normal and use the CD Key that came with the XP CD.

When you need to Activate it, ring your Local Activation Centre and tell them that you are Downgrading a Vista PC and they will give you a new Activation Key.

You may have to talk to Dell about the "Dell Media Direct" as this could be tricky if it is a Vista related Version,
