Backup and Recovery Drive
Hi Everyone
When I first bought my laptop I did a back-up that was set up to be written to DVD which it did, but, somewhere in the process space was used up on the recovery drive. Over the past year I have done 2-3 complete system recoveries but still get the same warning message that the recovery drive has under 15% free space which is slowing down the system, and of course driving me bonkers because one would expect with doing a recovery that the system is supposed to go back to factory settings. Now, given that I have the C drive (os), the D drive which is a blank separate drive that I save pictures and none exe. files to, and the E drive which is the Recovery drive on Vista Home Premium, the D drive has lots of blank space, can anyone tell me how to take some of that unused blank space and add it to the Recovery drive so that it has more space, I won't get anymore warnings about the drive not having sufficient space and hopefully the system will no longer be quite as slow as it is. This is the first of many questions about settings and so on but if anyone can tell me, or even direct me to a site that could tell me what to do I would really appreciate it. Oh, and please know that I have emailed and talked to HP numerous times about this problem but they either don't comprehend what I'm trying to tell them or they just don't want to spend the time it will take to set the system properly. Again, thank you in advance to ANY ONE who can help me with this.
