Vista SP1 Install Problem

Hi, I am new to this site having discovered it this morning! I have a problem installing Vista Home Premium SP1.

I have an Acer Aspire 5633 Laptop, which is vista capable. I have installed the upgrade from XP to Vista home premium supplied by Acer.

But try as I might, I cannot get SP1 to download rfom Windows update, nor install as a standalone program.

Has anyone any ideas?
