On a newer computer or one with a "better" hardware setup it may not make a difference. However on a "older" machine running Vista and mediocre hardware, in the graphics department I have found running Vista in basic mode or class mode it does run a bit quicker. Aero Glass takes system resources to run. You will not see a jump in any rating in regards to the Vista system rating, which I think is a joke anyways.
