Line in

Have a system to record to my computer from cassettes and LPs. Lost my sound. Had to uninstall it all and reboot. I have sound, but I lost the Line in so can no longer record.

If you’re using the RCA cable with mini-jack connector on the other end, then simply plug it into the female Line-In jack on the back of your computer (the blue one out of the three). However, if you have an RCA cable that has red and white RCA connectors on both ends, you’ll need to buy a mini-jack stereo adapter shown below.
