I need help...No sound!!!!!!!!! Thanks anyone......
You've encountered error message C00D1199 while using Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Does anyone know what either of these two messages mean? I have a CD that is school work and can't get any sound!

I need to do my school work!!!! sorry for the frustration........

this is a brand new sony vaio laptop that came with Windows Vista

This was posted 1 week ago?

Now I feel like my Firewall problem isn't going to get help soon.

Anyways, Jackie has probably finished his homework by now, but this is a codec problem, maybe WMP can't play the file, because the codec required for the sound is not installed.

To figure out the codec you need this DOWNlOAD which is Gspot.

This is for anyone that has this problem, I had it too, but I fixed it by downloading the required codecs.
