Soundcard not working in Vista

Hi everyone

please can you help me with my soundcard. No sound comes out of the speakers. The speakers are fine as they work in another PC.

The soundcard is a SoundMax ADI1986A.

I upgraded to Vista Premium on my Sony Workstation. Now I don't have any audio either. Red X on my speaker on my task bar and when I put the pointer on it, it says "No audio output is installed". I've read about this same situation 100 times and it seems that some folks have fixed it by deleting the audio drivers, reboot and let Vista install new drivers. It hasn't worked for me yet. Sony says that they don't have any audio drivers for my computer that will work. I've tried Microsoft KB929685. It's work for some, but not me. Good Luck.
