Computer hangs on re-start after downloading Vista sp1
I downloaded Service Pack 1, and I had a message to re-start. On the re-start lots of numbers flashed across the screen but then it hung up on "!!0xc0190036!! 5066/97912 (netsstpa.inf_loc)" (quote marks are mine). So, I can't boot the computer at all. I bought a Vista recovery disk online and tried to go back to a restore point, but there was only one point available (Vista sp1 install) but the restoration failed. I've searched for answers on the web, one fix is to download a program and run it, but I can't use the computer at all so this isn't an option. I have an HP computer that didn't give me an installation disc, rather I had to make my own recovery discs. I really don't want to go back to factory installation because I want to keep my data,
