Trouble with Dell Inspiron 1525 and vista

Hi there,

Really looking for some assistance as I am not an expert with IS.

I recently had to get my dell computer wiped due to viruses. I had a backup file created etc so have not lost this.

However I assumed I could log into my dell downloads and get microsoft office again as I bought this through Dell when getting the computer in 2007. It doesn't seem to work as it states it does not support my service tag.

Q. Am I going doing the right thing to get the software back or should I be doing something else?

Microsoft Vista is still within it's infancy. Meaning it still has many conflict/compatibility issues. One alternative you may find useful would be to downgrade your Dell Inspiron 1525 to Windows XP.
